Georgetown Cupcake

My Aunt from Colorado is here for two weeks, which is awesome because everyone just loves her! Yesterday afternoon we were sitting on the couch, and started watching DC Cupcakes on TLC, which I enjoy. Turns out, so does she! Perfect. I wasted only 1.5 hours watching mindless TV about cupcakes!

This morning after we all finished running crazy errands and mom was finished at the dentist, we were trying to decide what to do for the day. Since we live only about an hour away from Georgetown (if you plan it so you don't hit the traffic hours), mom suggested we go to DC Cupcake! Good idea! Off we went. We got there around noon, and it was so much fun!

I thought they were very good! In our box we had the red velvet, white chocolate raspberry, carrot, cookies and creme, chocolate ganache, and lemon berry! Yum!

We watch their show! Group shot in front of the shop!

Our box of cupcakes--Cookies N' Creme, Carrot, Chocolate Ganache, Red Velvet, Lemon Berry, and White Chocolate Raspberry!

Bryce had Cookies and Creme, and he thought it was really good!

Ryan had lemon berry!

Group shot--it was really neat because behind this glass window is where all of the baking goes on and customers can watch them frost, and cut out fondant pieces!

Evan with his first Georgetown Experience! Don't worry, he got cupcakes too, just a little bit later and in liquid format!

If you've ever watched their show, then you know about the Lab. This is their lab, which was their old cupcake shop. Once they got bigger, they changed locations (by a simple block), and kept this for their office, shipments, and big projects. We have a feeling that the two ladies who own the shop, Sophie and Kathryn, were in there, because they were not at the bakery at all!

A very fun experience!
