A Successful Kemmey Afternoon

A few weekends ago before I went back to school for the semester, Mom started making a chip dip one Saturday. Suzanne was supposed to have a friend (ahem, a boy) come over to the house, so Mom wanted to make sure she had some snacks. Well, the boy didn't end up coming over after all, but that just meant we had a bowl of dip and chips to munch on. It turned out to be a great lunch.

Key to a great day: stay in your pajamas. Don't even think about getting showered or dressed.

Such simple things can make everyone so excited.

Everyone just stuffing their faces.

And then to top it off, Suzanne got us all addicted to the game Temple Run for the iPod/iPad/iTouch. Mom, Dad, Tanner, Bryce, Suzanne, and I all sat down and tried to beat each others' high score. And that is a successful afternoon.

Evan is now eight and a half months old. He's stinkin' cute, and I loved being on winter break and being home with him (and everyone else). Even though I go home pretty frequently, it always seems like he has learned something new or grown that much more since the last time I saw him. He's still a pretty fussy little guy, even though nobody believes it--he's a good actor, I suppose. It's a good thing he's so cute. He gets tons of attention from everyone. No wonder he's a little high maintenance :)

Taking baths with Ryan... he loves the bath

Sleeping on Dad, which means he probably fell asleep watching xBox

Pudgy little feet

As the youngest of the bunch, he gets just about everything shoved in his mouth at a pretty early age. He loves junk food, that's for sure. I think he had tried dark chocolate somewhere around three months!

Bryce is so good with little kids. They love him. Bryce is definitely Kyan's favorite, and Evan will laugh with Bryce anytime.

Haha... Christmas afternoon. We are attractive sleepers, for sure.

Settling for some puffs.

Some proof that he does cry...

Loved the wrapping paper and bows

Ryan is just as good as Bryce!

It's safe to say that this kid is well-loved!

First Basketball Game

Since VCU is obviously big in the basketball department, I figured I should probably go to a game sometime during my time here. Last night VCU was playing William and Mary, and a bunch of us from the girl crew team went and watched. It was fun, loud, and full of VCU fans. The people in front of us really wanted VCU to win, that's for sure.

I've never been to a basketball game, and it was the first one a few of us going had been to. I heard that William and Mary wasn't very good, so we were going to beat them. The final score was 69 (VCU) to 68... so if W&M isn't that great, neither is VCU. It was still fun to go and do, and now I can say I've been to a VCU game.

Just one section of the cheering crowd.

Kavya and I at the game

One of the many, many time-outs/pauses... took forever for the first half to go by!

William and Mary's one and only black player on the team.

We started out pretty well, but quickly lost the little bit of a lead we had, and then had to fight to win, lol. I heard the ending was intense... Kavya and I left after half-time.

Please Enjoy

Animal cracker eating can be really fun--at least Evan thinks so. Check out those wicked smiles and dimples. Sometimes he just begins laughing at himself and can't stop!
